.p;The version of RUNOFF by Charles Spalding shares many features with the
current version.  Some of these are implemented by different names.
For example the _.EVEN command in Spalding is the same as _.PAGE EVEN
in this version.  If you have text produced on the Spalding version which
you wish to run on the Bonner lab version you can simulate most commands
via the _.DEFINE COMMAND.  For example _.EVEN may be simulated:
