This LSE/TPU initialization file can be used for three things.  First,
the F20 key can be used to jump out (temporarily) into a new window.
Second the F17/F18 keys can be used to convert embedded escape and control
characters from that funny backward question mark into readable symbols.
The F18 key converts them back to the real characters.
