PROBLEM #1 (???) ???: The SET ACL/DEFAULT command was causing an important ACE to disappear. This particular entry was important because it was the one which granted CONTROL access to the files from which is was disappearing. The SET ACL/DEFAULT command seemed to only cause this ACE to disappear when it was used in a wildcard environment, and it was only happening when attempting to propagate ACLs to subdirectory files. When a specific subdirectory filename was entered as the parameter in the SET ACL/DEFAULT command, the problem did not seem to occur. That is, $ SET ACL/DEFAULT *.*.* resulted in the above problem; $ SET ACL/DEFAULT SUB.DIR did not result in the problem. SOLUTION #1: Colorado support was called, and they recognized a problem with ACEs disappearing under VMS 5.0-2, but stated that it should be fixed under VMS 5.2. ***************************************************************************
