CUSTOMIZING WPSPLUS TO MAKE IT MORE USABLE
-------------------------------------------

Highlights:

-can change or add scripts , forms and boilerplates
-the user profile being present, you can share dopcuments with the
 cab share and cab put pending functions.

-document creation is made usable with templates etc etc. Comments
 were removed from a few wpsplus scripts to enable the functionality found in
 the  full allin 1

-print the DIRECTORY.STRUCTURE file and manually create all the 
 directories which do not currently exist on your system.

-The WPLSTART.COM has been modiofied to make the proper logical names point
 to the directoriesd in the DIRECTORY.STRUCTURE file. By running it,
 the logicals will be properly set.

-To have the wpsplus logical names available to your process, run the
 command procedure WPSLOG.

-To de-install library files and make logicals available, run the
 WPSWORK command procedure.

Once the environnement has been created:

move:	DEVELOP.FLB to OA$LIB		(will move it to the SITE directories)
	DOCCREATE.SCP to OA$DO
	SITEMEMRES.FLB to OA$LIB
	SITEOAFORM.FLB to OA$LIB

	WPSSTART.COM to sys$MANAGER
	WPSLOGGER_START.COM to SYS$MANAGER (to start logging process,
				            which captures data from
                                            WPS/log sessions)

	WPSPLUS_LOGIN.COM to SYS$MANAGER (much more efficient if you
					  only use VT terminalssince it
					  doesn't call KOATERMTABS.COM)


	WPSLOG.COM to anywhere
	WPSWORK.COM to anywhere


	WPSPLUS.CLD to OA$LIB, and change the DCLTABLES file to
			       reflect the changes (/CUSTOM/PROFILE)

	LN03.PRA to KOA$PRINT_DIR

	LN03.FONTS to anywhere     (must be printed before fonts can be
				    used) These fonts were extracted from
				    DECUS documents supplied in LN03 
				    format).


	Use the all-in-1 comamnd OA$FBT_WRITE_LIBRARY and OA$TXL_COMPILE
        to create the more efficient versions of the library files.
        (see complet.list to see which files should be "compiled")


You may have to call WPS/NOPROFILE at first, then do the command
<FORM PROFIL, and add the records for each WPSPLUS user. Most of the fields
are not used by WPSPLUS but you should still be carefull with the data you
enter. The form maps to a file whith the same record layout as the ALL-IN-1
PROFILE.DAT file.  Very little validation is made on the form.



The DECTOMAC.COM command procedure can be used to convert a WPSPLUS 
document to a text file in the MACINTOSH character set. Within an index
form, the document currently pointed to with the ">" will be copied
to OAUSER:TEMP.MAC by issuing the ALL-IN-1 command : "<command DECTOMAC"
(assumes that DECTOMAC.COM is in your OAUSER directory)
It is an example of use of the CHARCONV program described elsewhere in
this submission.
