Miles, Define the symbol similar to this: $ WP :== "@disk_name:file """ The triple quotes are actually putting double quotes inside the symbol definition. Now, when you enter the symbol, P1 can be entered parsed to determine what was entered as a command modifier. By the way - you don't have to put a blank space between the WP and the modifiers. Bruce
