Thanks to David Denholm (denholm@sotons.physics.southampton.ac.uk) for
some pointers on how he got GS running (using GCC).  Once I decode them
all, I'll give it another go...

(Pat Rankin), and backstrom@ranger.enet.dec.com (Petri).  The answer is
that eXcursion doesn't support the Adobe licensed Postscript extensions.
I don't supposed this is fixed by eXcursion 1.2?  Nah, that'd be too good
to be true.  :-)

The Athena widgets (aren't those used for catching snipe?) for VMS, I'm
told, are available from public.tgv.com, ported by Patrick Mahan.  I'll
look once (if) I get GS running.  This gets bigger every time I think
about it...

The PATCH on ftp.spc.edu is out of date (patchlevel 4); the command-line
arguments are improved by the latest version (patchlevel 9, available from
bay.cc.kcl.ac.uk).  I'll forward a note to Hunter Goatley.  :-)
Thanks to Arne Vajhoej (arne@kopc.hhs.dk), Pat Rankin, and David Denholm
for their interesting help, but I was doing the right thing.  PATCH wasn't.
It did, however, lead me in the right direction.
