This enables programs using this classlibrary to be compiled under MS-Windows, UNIX-Motif and VMS-Motif. MAC, NeXT and OS/2 ports are under work. To get more information about wxWindows please refer to the WWW address: http://www.aiai.ed.ac.uk/~jacs/wxwin.html You can also directly use FTP to get a working source-code version which should be compileable without changes via annonymous FTP from: ftp.aiai.ed.ac.uk in the directory: /pub/packages/wxwin/ports/vms There are the following files: -rw-rw-r-- 1 26577 100 15273 May 8 11:05 install.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 26577 100 21740 May 8 11:05 readvms.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 26577 100 5579 May 8 11:05 readyuse.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 26577 100 806918 May 8 11:00 vmsready.zip -rw-r--r-- 1 26577 100 1457168 May 8 11:04 wx161_1.zip -rw-r--r-- 1 26577 100 443388 May 8 11:04 wx161_2.zip -rw-r--r-- 1 26577 100 600707 May 8 11:04 wx161hlp.zip -rw-r--r-- 1 26577 100 711988 May 8 11:04 wx161ps.zip -rw-rw-r-- 1 26577 100 214036 May 8 11:00 wx161vms.zip -rw-r--r-- 1 26577 100 369226 May 8 11:04 wx161xlp.zip Please get the 'readyuse.txt' file and the 'vmsready.zip' archive. The other files are the unpatched version of the library and in 'wx161vms.zip' there are technical comments about the changes and additions which I have done to the classlibrary. It would be fine if some people could download the software and test and use it. Please report any installation or compilations problems to me. I will then try to incorporate your suggestions into the actual code. This will raise the quality of the port which is a benefit for all of us. Bye, -- Stefan Hammes (stefan.hammes@urz.uni-heidelberg.de)
