     This is gcc-vms-2.7.1, containing prebuilt VAX/VMS binaries for
the GNU C compiler:  gcc-2.7.1, gas-2.6, bison-1.24, plus version
2.3.0 of the gcc-vms driver program, support library, and header files.
It does not contain the GNU C++ compiler nor `libg++' library.

     The `gcc' directory contains a ready-to-use driver, C compiler,
assembler, and support library plus a subdirectory tree containing the
header files.  Read files $INSTALLATION.GUIDE and [.GCC]GCC.README for
installation instructions.

     The `gcc-src' directory contains a pointer to the gcc source
distribution, plus a subdirectory holding the sources for the gcc-vms
driver program and support library.  [.GCC-SRC.VMS]MANIFEST contains
an overview and brief description.

    The `bison' directory contains a ready-to-use parser generator, not
needed for using GNU C but useful when doing a full build of gcc from
its sources.  Read files $INSTALLATION.GUIDE and [.BISON]BISON.README
for installation instructions.

    The `bison-src' directory contains a pointer to the bison source
distribution, plus a subdirectory holding a couple of VMS-specific
files not included in that source distribution.
