The port done by proGIS Software left now the beta release state and is shipping. Our customers will receive a
premium class support by Fax, EMail and our PRMS on our web server.
Availability:
The GCC-system will be available in two versions,
a commercial one with full support by proGIS Software
and a ftpable without fee. (At this moment, there is no way to put the

We put lots of money, time and work in the porting of C/C++
to openVMS/Alpha including a complete rewrite of the BFD routines
in the assembler to meet the needs of digitals alpha cpu.
So we decided to split up the distribution of the compiler in a
non-commercial part for people in need of a free compiler with no
or less interest in high-optimized code, professional support
and ease of use and installation. The end user who wants a full
professional package, regular updates, convenient interface
and powerful support will like to purchase the commercial version.
